RDF Feed, Livestock & Foods, Inc. or simply, RDF, is a company-owned and company-operated agri-food enterprise in the Philippines. We manage various modern poultry and swine farms that are located in the flourishing cities of Pampanga and Tarlac in Central Luzon; and industrial facilities such as a feed mill, slaughterhouse, a Triple-A (AAA) meat-cutting plant, and a meat processing plant; and Fresh Options Meat Shop, a chain of stand-alone meat shops, which offers high-quality fresh meats and value-added meat products.

Our Company Logo

The company logo symbolizes our goals and what we stand for. The logo portrays a rising sun in the color yellow and is placed above a green hill set over the small letters ‘r’ and ‘d’. The color yellow represents the passion and energy that we emanate to take the company to greater heights. The green hill represents Mount Arayat and the agricultural landscape of Pampanga, where RDF was founded. The color red, which fills the small letters of “rdf,” stands for our company’s uncompromising commitment to quality.

RDF Pledge of Quality

To ensure that our company’s workforce will stay true to our objectives, principles, and everything that we believe in, we have formulated a company pledge, which is the RDF Pledge of Quality. Awards and Recognitions

In 2016, RDF was awarded the regional winner of Landbank’s Gawad sa Korporasyon na Kaagapay sa Ating Ganap na Tagumpay (KAAGAPAY), a distinction given to successful bank-assisted large and medium-sized corporations that contribute to Landbank’s support for priority sectors. These sectors include farmers, fishermen and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Also in the same year, RDF received another award, the Meralco Biz Luminary. The award highlighted our company’s resiliency to thrive despite the challenges we have faced in the industry. It also recognized the company’s ability to optimize energy resources efficiently.

Employee Training and Development

The company has a workforce of more than 2,000 employees composed of veterinarians, animal nutritionists, quality assurance specialists, food technologists, chefs, butchers, engineers, etc.

 

We are committed to the professional growth and development of our employees, who we consider as the life and blood of the firm. Together with our department managers and consultants, we create training and development programs that help our employees to become better at their jobs.

In 2019, the HR department opened RDF University, which strives to equip employees with the right skills and mindset and promote a culture of performance excellence all throughout the organization. As the training arm of our HR Department. RDF University covers different subject matters that are geared towards the development of various core and leadership competencies and these are, as follows:

Also, the company has always been supportive of employees who are interested in completing their secondary education through DepEd’s Alternative Learning System (ALS). This allows our employees to obtain a diploma once they pass the accreditation and equivalency test. Over the years, RDF has sent employees to technical trainings, locally and abroad, and even in universities to pursue undergraduate or graduate studies.

Corporate Social Responsibility

In 2018, RDF became a signatory participant and joined in the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC). As a member, RDF is committed to support the 10 principles of UNGC that emphasize human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. These principles have become an integral part of the company’s current policies and procedures.The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiatives of RDF include:

  2. Educational assistance for students who need funding for thesis studies at state universities and colleges
  3. Brigada Eskwela assistance

Six Nuggets of Wisdom

After everything that he has experienced in establishing the company from the ground up—from natural disasters, industry challenges like chicken smuggling, to almost going bankrupt—Doc Robert has learned a lot of lessons that he believes could help and inspire all of his employees become successful in their selected fields or even in their own business. These are:
